Terms of Use

Effective Date: May 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Rasool (the "Application"), an Islamic daily reminder application developed by Ghassan Abu Khaled (the "Service Provider"). These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Application.

For details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, please review our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using the Application.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Application. The onboarding flow does not allow users under 18 to proceed. By using the Application, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Free Trial

Rasool offers certain features — including widgets, the streak tracker, reading history, and favorites — through a paid subscription. The Application includes a free trial period; after the trial ends, your subscription will begin at the price disclosed inside the Application.

Subscription Terms: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews at the same price and duration unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing Subscriptions: You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase. Subscriptions are securely governed and processed through the official payment rails of your App Store and RevenueCat. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to the standard Apple Terms of Use (EULA) and Google Play Terms of Service.

Restoring Purchases: If you reinstall the Application or switch devices, you may restore your subscription at any time using the Restore Purchases option on the paywall. To restore your reading history, favorites, and streak in addition to the subscription, you must sign in with the email or Apple ID associated with the original purchase.

Refunds: Refunds are handled directly by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. The Service Provider does not directly process or issue refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

4. Religious Content

The Application presents selections from the Qur'an, authentic hadith collections, and traditional duas and adhkar. The Arabic text of the Qur'an and the established collections of hadith are part of the shared heritage of the Muslim community and are not the property of the Service Provider. The Service Provider takes care to source content from established scholarly references and does not use any artificial intelligence to generate, translate, or paraphrase religious text.

Translations and transliterations are provided for the convenience of non-Arabic readers and are drawn from established published translations. If you notice a discrepancy or error in any content, please contact us so we can review and correct it.

5. Usage Restrictions and Intellectual Property

You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any portion of the Application, its source code, or its included software frameworks. The Application's design, user interface, brand name, logo, content curation, and software are the exclusive property of the Service Provider. Sacred religious texts presented within the Application are not, and cannot be, the exclusive property of any individual or company.

You further agree not to use the Application to: (i) violate any applicable law or regulation; (ii) transmit any harmful, abusive, or unlawful content; (iii) interfere with or disrupt the Application's infrastructure or any associated third-party services; or (iv) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Application or its underlying systems.

Sharing: The Application allows you to share individual content cards as images. You are encouraged to share for the purpose of spreading reminders, provided the shared image is not modified to misrepresent the source text or the Service Provider.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Application at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Application, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from within the Application (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at privacy@rasool.app. Details on data handling following termination are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While the Service Provider takes reasonable care to ensure the accuracy of the content presented, the Application is offered without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.

The Service Provider disclaims liability for damages or service interruptions arising from a lack of stable internet connectivity, third-party infrastructure outages (including Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Supabase, RevenueCat, or PostHog), or unauthorized modifications made to your device's operating system (such as rooting or jailbreaking).

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Service Provider be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Application.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Application after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Application shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Amman, Jordan.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
